How To Take Your Measurements

Ordering a made-to-measure outfit online can feel a little confusing, but we’ll keep it simple.

For Jasnoora’s Made For You pieces, your suit is stitched using the measurements you provide. Please take your time, measure carefully, and ask someone to help you if possible.

We recommend using a soft measuring tape and taking your measurements in inches.

Before You Start

Please keep these tips in mind:

• Wear fitted clothing while measuring.
• Stand naturally, without pulling your body in.
• Keep the measuring tape flat against your body.
• Do not pull the tape too tight.
• Measure twice to make sure the number is correct.
• Ask someone else to help for more accurate results.
• If you are between two measurements, choose the more comfortable fit.

Please do not measure over bulky clothing, jackets, hoodies or loose layers.

Measurements We Need

For most Made For You suits, we may ask for the following measurements:

1. Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust.
Keep the tape straight across your back and comfortably fitted around the front.

2. Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of your waist.
This is usually above your belly button and below your ribs.

3. Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Make sure the tape goes around the widest part of your lower body.

4. Shoulder

Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other shoulder across your back.

5. Armhole

Wrap the tape around the top of your arm where the sleeve joins the body.
This should feel comfortable, not tight.

6. Sleeve Length

Measure from the edge of your shoulder down to where you want the sleeve to end.

For example:

• short sleeve
• elbow length
• 3/4 sleeve
• full sleeve

7. Bicep / Upper Arm

Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm.

8. Wrist

For full sleeves, measure around your wrist where the sleeve will end.

9. Kameez Length

Measure from the top of your shoulder down to where you want the kameez to finish.

For Patiala suits, this is usually short to mid-length.
For straight-cut suits, this may be knee-length, calf-length or longer depending on the design.

10. Neck Depth — Front

Measure from the base of your neck down to how deep you want the front neckline.

If you prefer a modest neckline, keep this measurement higher.

11. Neck Depth — Back

Measure from the base of your neck down to how deep you want the back neckline.

12. Salwar / Pants Length

Measure from your waist down to your ankle, or where you want the salwar/pants to end.

For Patiala salwar, the length should allow for comfortable pleating and ankle fit.

13. Waist For Salwar / Pants

Measure around the waist area where you want your salwar or pants to sit.

This may be your natural waist or slightly lower, depending on your comfort.

14. Thigh

Measure around the fullest part of one thigh.

15. Ankle / Pauncha

Measure around your ankle where the Patiala salwar will gather at the bottom.

Please let us know if you prefer a tighter, standard or looser ankle finish.

16. Your Height

Please provide your full height.

This helps us understand overall proportions and outfit length.

Fit Preference

Please also tell us how you like your outfit to fit:

• relaxed
• standard comfortable fit
• slightly fitted
• modest loose fit

If you are unsure, we recommend choosing a comfortable standard fit.

Important Measurement Note

Your outfit will be stitched according to the measurements you submit.

Please check all measurements carefully before sending them through. Jasnoora is not responsible for fit issues caused by incorrect or unclear measurements provided by the customer.

Because each body shape and fit preference is different, minor local alterations may still be needed after delivery.
